Due to the different opportunities presented to Black and Latino players before integration, the Hall Rating of these players does not accurately reflect their Hall of Fame cases. When possible, the Hall of Stats uses Eric Chalek’s Negro League MLEs to present an alternate Hall Rating for prominent early Black and Latino stars. Rap Dixon has a 67 Hall Rating using these MLEs. The rest of the stats on this page come from real game data, not MLEs.

|About the stats|
Over the course of his career, Rap Dixon made 1,826 plate appearances. Dixon was worth 15.3 Wins Above Replacement and 9.5 Wins Above Average.
After adjusting for length of schedule, catchers, and relief pitchers, the 15.3 WAR becomes 25.0 adjWAR. Then, WAA is adjusted by ignoring negative seasons (thus, truly capturing a player’s peak seasons) and making similar adjustments for catchers and relief pitchers. After these adjustments, the 9.5 WAA becomes 10.2 adjWAA.
Then, the adjWAR and adjWAA are combined, but with extra weighting given to adjWAA. This gives Dixon 43.4 wWAR. wWAR is then converted to Hall Rating. A Hall Rating of 100 represents the Hall of Stats borderline (similar to OPS+ or wRC+, where 100 represents league average).
Rap Dixon has a Hall Rating of 41, leaving him nowhere close to induction to the Hall of Stats.
